Administrative Assistant Paralegal Position

Sanger Law PC is a Portland-based utility, energy, and administrative law firm serving clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. The firm is seeking an administrative assistant with some paralegal responsibilities to begin early June 2021. This position is part-time with the opportunity to become full-time.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Organizing pleadings, testimony, discovery, and other documents in the office filing system;
• Filing pleadings, testimony, discovery, and other documents with the courts and administrative agencies;
• Maintaining a calendar of assigned cases, meetings, and events;
• Printing and mailing;
• Proof reading and cite checking documents;
• Helping conduct and organize discovery;
• General office management and upkeep;
• Formatting, preparing, and drafting document templates and routine pleadings;
• Providing assistance to attorneys in trial and hearing preparation by conducting non-complex research of litigation, statutes, regulations, and court cases;
• Other administrative tasks as assigned.

The preferred candidate will have:
• Experience with, or a demonstrated interest in learning, administrative and energy regulatory law;
• Four-year college degree or paralegal certificate; and
• Prior office experience.

Hours: 30-40 hours a week, 8am-5pm weekdays and occasional weekend work.
Salary: Commensurate with experience, starting at $20/hour.
