Law Clerk Opportunity – Portland Energy Law Firm

Sanger Greene PC is a Portland-based utility, energy, and administrative law firm serving clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. The firm is seeking a full-time summer 2026 and part-time fall 2026 law clerk.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Legal research
• Cite checking
• Discovery
• Drafting memos and pleadings

Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in administrative law, energy regulation, or related public-law issues, and candidates should have completed at least one year of law school by the start date. We will consider recent graduates. Examples of type of work the law clerk could assist in include state regulatory proceedings (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, and Montana), state and federal court cases, and project development.

Preferred: 1) previous law clerk or legal or non-legal research work experience; 2) law review or other Bluebook experience; 3) computer skills; and 4) those who can work in person in Portland, Oregon, but will consider remote candidates.

Hours: 20-40 hours per week during the summer 2026 and 5-15 hours a week during the fall 2026.
Salary: $22-25 an hour depending on experience. Non-exempt status
